Well our first flight is delayed 2 hours and our connection is delayed 2 hr 15 minutes. Will hopefully arrive at our destination before 1 am assuming some flight isn’t cancelled altogether
Remind me never to fly Southwest again.

I gave up on Southwest (which was mostly the only airline we used all the years in Chicagoland) when they dropped the non-stops between San Diego and Seattle. But we seldom travel now.
My daughter and I were stuck overnight in Brownsville Texas the other day because our flight was delayed and then canceled. I’ve never been to an airport with no stores, or even a drink vending machine. It was a long night.
I’m currently on hold with Jet Blue. My 17 year old is trying to fly out. The plane is there. The pilots are there, but they say the flight is cancelled? No one is telling them anything.
My D20 spent an unplanned night in Charleston last week when the first leg of her flight to Madrid was diverted away from ATL and she missed her connection. Arrived at her destination 36 hours late.
Flying is for the birds! Hope you make it where you’re going sooner than later.
Well…we made it to Baltimore…about an hour late. But our connecting flight is also delayed an hour. Supposedly we leave here at 9 pm.
Funny…at the gate we are at, the flight before us was 25% full. The boarding area sign said all passengers were A level (betting those that paid extra for that are not happy), and everyone should “choose your own row”
Our flight is over four hours…I would love a whole row!
Misery Map on Flightaware showing 649 delayed flights nationwide and only 10 cancellations today (so far!)…lots of delays at big hubs (PDX/ORD/NYC/ATL/MIA/DAL/DEN/IAH/CLT). Weather not helping. Good luck.
We were once flying back from Hartford to Midway and the flight was delayed for hours. They only eventually took off because they had to get the crew back to Chicago. Almost all other passengers had been rebooked because they were connecting at Midway. We each could have taken an entire section of the plane for ourselves.
I hope you’re off to someplace fun.
I used to really like SW, especially their flexibility. It’s been tough with them lately. We did recently have 2 trips back and forth from Baltimore to Caribbean that went well. Hopefully they will get better. There were rumors of awhile they may have some kind of strike in May, but not sure what’s up now.
I am going someplace fun…and warm!!
