Travel from Yale to Columbia

Can someone please help me plan a trip from Yale ( New Haven) to Columbia Medical Center.

  • My understanding is that the Metro-North Railways (800.638.7647) offers frequent train service between New Haven and New York City.
  • Take the GRAND CENTRAL STATION bound Metro-North Train from New Haven - Union station and Get off at HARLEM-125TH ST STATION at 8:35 PM
  • Take a cab or Uber from HARLEM-125TH ST STATION to Columbia Medical Center (630 West 168th St. New York, NY 10032 )

Is the above information correct ? or can you suggest anything better ?

TIA for the help.

That would work fine.

That should be just fine. Just remember that fewer trains stop at 125th Street than at Grand Central and make sure you check the schedule. I am also not certain about a cab stand at 125th street or where you would wait for one as I have never actually gotten off the train there.

Good luck.

The area around Columbia P&S is not the nicest. It looks like you are arriving well after dark. If you’re not used to being in a big city, you will stick out like a sore thumb. So just use an abundance of caution.
