hey, im planning to go on a travel study for spanish. there are three programmes offered in spain, mexico, and costa rica. does anyone know which of these offers the best composite of both studying and playing?

i am more inclined to go to the programme in spain but i read that the prof rodriguez-cepeda is extremely hard on bruinwalk.com...

So here's a question: do you have a preference for accents? I've known people who have been to Barcelona and my roommate did travel-study there. There's a good night-life scene and a lot of young people and clubbing if that's your thing... other than being a beautiful city.

Yes, I want to experience spanish accents more. I like the overall atmosphere in Spain too especially the architecture of Barcelona and Madrid. I wouldn't have any problem with picking up the programme in Spain. But the thing is, one of the professors is reviewed as extremely tough in Bruinwalk.com...

I believe your roommate went to the programme I'm taking about. Would you please ask her what courses she took and how the difficulty of the coursework was?

Yes, she did have that professor. She just said that he had a thick accent, was not very receptive to non-native speakers, taught syntax, taught part of the program for her... and the difficulty varies based on what courses you decide to take within the individual program. She did not have this instructor for the majority of the course.
