what are everyone’s stats?

Accepted! 3.5 gpa 29 act

Rejected…International 1380 SAT…O levels: 4A*s 5As

Rejected. 1290 sat, international student.

@AbdelHady @SupaSailor I’m sorry to hear that you two all wait-listed. Though your scores are good, to be honest, they are not ‘extra ordinary’ enough for Trinity to believe you would consider it a safety school. I know because most students from my country (I was an international student from an over represented country) have similar scores to yours and they were all accepted with generous financial aids (half got full rides, others 5-10k family contribution) Ever since the college decided to go SAT-optional, it’s become much harder to chance a Trin hopeful with only scores. Now they value strength in character, grit and perseverance just as much. You said you really liked Trinity and considered going there if accepted, but did you highlight your interest in your application? I remember pouring my heart out in an optional 2 page Why Trin essay, and I guessed it helped my case tremendously.

If you really like camp Trin as you said, email them, call them, update them with your current endeavors, new test scores, be it SAT subjects or AP or whatever. Talk to current students/alumni like me to learn more about the college (mention their names on your email or when you talk over the phone.) Let them know if you have been accepted to other similar colleges (if thats the case) but you still wish to remain on the waiting list as Trinity is your top choice. In short, show your interest!

If you have any other questions or need more help, feel free to message me. I’d be glad to assist a fellow international student!

@mrbaby43 they’re scores are fine, Trinity is just a shitty deal for internationals unfortunately. Next time try not being so arrogant and loathsome.

@rkzent I’m from Massachusetts and was waitlisted with a 32.

@adlor21 that sucks. It’s such a crapshoot honestly. I bet you got into other highly regarded schools. Just don’t be an arrogant POS like @mrbaby43

I had a 1460 SAT with 800 Math and 660 English
O level 6As and 2As
A level - 4 A
s throughout including final and midterms
More than 2000 community hours in high school
President of school societies
Co-respondent of national magazine
Won academic awards at school
And was rejected.
Note : I am international.

Accepted with a 3.8 gpa, 29 act. interviewed. Lots of EC’s, from top public school in state of CT

when do we get fin aid stuff?

@rkzent “they’re scores are fine, Trinity is just a **** deal for internationals unfortunately. Next time try not being so arrogant and loathsome.”

Hahaha of course “they’re” scores are fine, for someone like you. Last time I checked, 12% or around 300 of Trinity incoming class are international students, and Trin ranks 6 in terms of fin aid for int’l students. (https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/slideshows/10-schools-where-international-students-get-the-most-financial-aid?slide=6). Tell me, where is your Bates exactly?
Hope you did not waste your time applying to Trinity, cause with that attitude of yours you would have been rejected in a heartbeat (yes I saw your post in Skidmore as well. It must feel very nice going around calling people “arrogant” and “piece of ■■■■” you neanderthal) All my Venezuelan friends at Trinity were so nice, it’s beyond my ken how you could come from the same beautiful country as them.

A big sorry to everyone ELSE if I inadvertently offended you with my language. It just gets on my nerves sometimes when people call my alma mater “safety school”. I declined Brown and Georgetown SFS for a full tuition at Trinity but never for a second had I thought of Trinity as a safety school. It is a great school by any standard. How do you like it when people say to your face “Oh your alma mater was my safety school”?

Oh my beautiful boy @rkzent. I write this especially for you. I just got my GRE results back. 170 quant 169 verbal. Your SAT is much lower than mine, and I bet cha your GRE will be as well. Yes I am rubbing it in your face. See how arrogant I am? Yes, pretty damn arrogant I guess hahaha.

wow this thread just got fiesty ya’ll!

Anyone know if financial aid will be sent online or through mail?

Hey there everyone.
I’m an international student and I have been waitlisted at Trinity. I really need some assistance at this point. I don’t know if I should just wait or call up the admissions office or write an email to them. I chose to stay on the wait list but I’m a bit nervous now because I really wanna make it to Trinity.
Please suggest a few things I and the rest of us who are waitlisted could do to up our chances of acceptance.

@mrbaby43 Yeah I got a 790 in math and a 680 in english (you know cause its my second language). And I never said that Trinity was a safety school by the way so redirect that anger to somebody else. And in terms of your GRE scores I really don’t care at all haha. I’m going to end up going to JFK school of government just like a few of my family members for grad school. I also find it funny that somebody that is very close to already graduating college or already graduated is posting on College Confidential and spending so much time here. The only thing that I can say for sure is that I shouldn’t of referred to you as “POS”, but I was just having fun and trying to be edgy as a joke. You got WAY too offended and really need to relax. I hope that bragging to people on College Confidential really makes you happy.

Btw I meant 590 in english

yah so trinity just gave me like a full ride so… pretty much gonna go!!! yay!

@Anoopsurya If you are serious about Trinity, call them up, email them, do everything in your power to showcase your interest. Do not just sit there and wait for miracle to happen.
@iwantogotothere Congrats! Pretty sure you deserve it!

@rkzent You are right it makes me happy to brag about my scores to people like you. And congrats on your future acceptance at Harvard Kennedy. Harvard would be lucky to have you. Enjoy the nepotism and your legacy status while they last.

Oh and I am sorry I did not know calling people piece of sh!t is your idea of being “edgy”. If that is your version of saying sorry then apology accepted hahaha
