I was admitted to UCSD in 2009, sent in my SIR. Real life kicked in and I ended up not being able to go. I went through the motions to rescind the SIR and they wished me luck in the future. Since that time I received a letter addressed to the "entering class of 2009" about AP scores in 2010 (which ended up being addressed to the wrong class, but that isn't important), so I figured my name was still on some registry - no big deal.

Since that time I went to a community college and did great. UCSD has remained my top choice, above both UCLA and Cal. Today, in my anticipatory, jittery-twitching state I decided to check UCSD decisions. I signed up for a PID, and realized it was the same one I received two years ago. I received an email saying:

"Kevin,
You have successfully created your User ID and Password.
Your User ID is: AXXXXXXXX
This will give you access to register for classes. To view the Enrollment and Registration Calendar for deadlines, and to register for classes using the WebReg tool, go to TritonLink."

I signed in and lo and behold... it says I am a current student. I even have a hold on my records for not submitting hepatitis B immunization history. I never received a confirmation email from UCSD. I figure they have some automated system that handles incoming applications before they are sorted and I fear my app got lost somewhere in some cyber junkyard as some error. I have anxiety and ADHD - I am not going to sleep the next several hours. I would drive down to La Jolla and chill out in front of the admission building if I didn't have a test tomorrow.

When I sent the email back in 2009 saying that I wouldn't be able to attend, the person who responded stated that it wasn't too uncommon and not to worry about the issue anymore. So if it isn't too uncommon, anyone else in the same boat or know someone with this issue? I really want to go to UCSD and this sucks.
