I received the offer of using the Trojan Transfer Plan, but I will be on active duty in the marine corp. My plan was to go to a community college while in the corp to get my G.E out of the way. Wondering if I can still utilize this plan, because I want to go to USC.
You should definitely call USC and speak to them about this - a good person to call and email is your area admission’s representative - they work with you on any issues that come up in the process. Also there is a transfer department you can call but frankly, she is not the most friendly one to talk to (from experiences), so I would tend to start with your rep. Let them know you are “thrilled to be admitted to USC through the TTP…” You could also call admissions in general and they may put you in touch with someone - which I believe will lead back to your area representative, but just incase anything changed in last 12 months, I always encourage people to call USC - they are there to help. You should really try to do the meeting with them in June, but I would try to establish relationship with your area rep so they know your specific situation ahead of time. We met with random admissions person in June, but worked with area rep through the process when it came time to ask any details. I don’t understand your timing or what classes you can take given your commitments, but I really believe they will work with you on this.
Thank you for your service!
