Trying to do 2014 search based on NP, but NPC=2012

<p>I am looking for colleges for the Fall, 2014 term, and am wanting to use the new fangled (for me) NPC to help get a better price for college candidates, but I see that the NPC that is installed in 3 out of 3 colleges I have tried is based on tax info from 2012 and the price that will be used for Fall 2014, will be tax info from 2013.</p>

<p>I understand that in July, 2013, I do not have 2013 taxes info, but when we apply to the school for real eventually, won;t we use the 2013 tax info, estimated at first, then when it is finalized, the finalized version is used?</p>

<p>When do the NPCs reflect the year that is used for Fall, 2014?</p>

<p>I am not so much concerned that I am not using MY exact tax info that I will use in the Fall, 2014 apps, but that I am using colleges' LAST YEAR'S prices (Fall 2013, based on 2012 taxes) which I assume will be different than the Fall 2014 prices.</p>

<p>Use the current NPC and assume that the college price will go up at least 5% for 2014.</p>

<p>Do not expect the NPC to give you a result that is accurate to the dollar. Many things can change between now and next spring.</p>
