trying to find the perfect fit

Well I’m not in greek life at Clemson and I’d like to think I have a pretty decent social life. We’re getting more and more competitive every year. Current ACT average is 25-30. We’re consistently ranked by the Princeton Review as having the happiest students. Campus is amazing (If you haven’t visited, you’ve got to do that). Engineering is the most popular major on campus and we have a great reputation in the southeast. Clemson isn’t that big and fits your size criteria, we have 17,000 students here. The professors here are pretty good. Only my lab sections have been taught by TA’s and the largest class I’ve had is only 110 people. School spirit is contagious here, everyone wears orange and has lots of pride and love for the school. The surrounding town basically lives off the university. There are tons of food options on campus as well as off campus (we basically have every American fast food chain you can hope for). Ratio is like 54% guys to 46% girls since it’s mostly a tech school but you won’t notice the difference

But yeah that’s my plug for Clemson. Let me know if you have any questions!

If you are keeping Rose on your list I will say that most of those in ROTC are EXTREMELY busy. You will spend about 20 hours a week on ROTC here on top of that don’t expect money from it until junior year. For the most part if you have solid grades Rose throws a decent amount of aid at you. Also ROTC workload really depends on who is in charge of the unit so at VTech I have no idea how much time you may or maynot spend on ROTC. I know it’s generally a long shot but have you considered Cooper Union or Franklin Olin?

Olin doesn’t have chemE and cooper is kinda way to competitive for me. as for VT ROTC I hear its one of the oldest country and that its pretty serious there. Required to be in uniform daily for the majority of the day.
