Tuesday Or Wednesday!!!!!

i think it should be NJ/MD/DE/CT/DC and parts of NY/VA/PA

but that's just me guessing.

i still have to figure out when people here say tri-state whether they mean DC/MD/VA or VA/WV/MD (coz DC is not a state)

snowdancer...maybe you can help

so... they dun send e-mails? gowd i live in China!

ok........two more days!

until what? pton mailing the letters?

Sorry I have a random question, my school only does weighted GPA, how is unweighted calculated?.....my average frosh year I assume does not count, my average of meaningful classes sophomore year is 95, my average of meaningful classes junior year is 95.8...what would that translate to on a 4.0 scale?...by meaningful classes I exclude Religion and Gym

greco buddy. theres no need for you to know that info now. our fates have already been sealed. all thats left in unsealing the envelope lol

i know tanis, but I am just curious, if i don't get in, there are other ivies on the proverbial drawing board

I think a 95 is about a 3.85
(although in some places its a 4.0, however Princeton exludes many more classes than religion and gym, like classes that are known to be easy at your school if many apply for it. for example electronics from my school is notoriously easy and thus im sure its excluded.)

i think you posted that question on 10 different threads.
still obsessive

as long as you have everything 90 or better, it's a 4.0. and if its not all 90 or better, it still may be 4.0? i don't think they convert it to the 4.0 scale, though. they just look at it in terms of your school's system.

how long do you think the letters will take to get to long island..? anyone else here from the great ol geographically diverse island? i bet we get a special "long island" pile...

yea 95 is a 4.0 at some places. My school dosen't do percentages, just grades. A 90 is the same as a 100. So A's are 4, B's are 3, and so forth.

well RussianHopeful you're very lucky, because in my school people get upset with a 92 and complain about 97's. ThePolishDude stop harassing people, we are all under the same stress and anticipation that you are under, there is no reason to constantly call people "obsessive". If they are, I'm sure they have realized this, and if they havent then telling them so wont help at all, especially if you keep doing it.

is music theory, which is a term course at my school, a kind of class which pton will overlook? i hope they don't since i spent so much time on it

Guys, I think that anyone who has an account on and regularly check a website called "College Confidential" ought to be considered obsessive. Yes, RussianHopeful, that includes you. It also includes me. And everyone else on this damn website. haha

But obsessive does not necessarily mean bad. It'd be weird if we didn't care what happens this week. I'm sure everything will work out for all of us.

sigh

tmasa, that was beautiful and inspiring,
...somebody hand that boy a Nobel Peace Prize!

Send him to Israel...Peace in the Middle East thanks to tmasta

tmasa for President!

(Look, he even IS from Washington, DC)

RussianHopeful, where in MD are you from? Maybe you're nearby...

Nah...About an hour away. I live in Baltimore County...Pikesville to be precise.

tmasta i am nearby....20 mins from DC...depending on traffic that is.
