An email I got from a friend at Princeton who works in the admission office:
"Hey, I talked to one of the admissions officers I work for (<em>name removed</em>) and he said letters are going out the 14th, no exceptions. Don't listen to all those rumors and ******** because I heard it from "the horse's mouth.""</p>
<p>As I said, don't expect much until Thursday. At least, that's my best guess.</p>
<p>When I contacted them, I got the same info as you did. I dont know why other people are getting different information.</p>
<p>I guess we'll find out who's right tomorrow.</p>
<p>tmasta, I'm with you, the admissions office lady said that they would send it either tuesday or wednesday, they probably decided on wednesday and that's what your friend heard, then again it could be an insurance policy to say they send it out later so people don't complain to the office, that way they give themselves a cushion, idk, i expect anything, i live in nj, if it comes today i wouldnt be surprised...</p>

<p>Yes, I agree with tmasta. There seems to be all sorts of dates out there, and no one knows which is right. Even for NJ residents like myself, the letter could (and probably will) come Thursday, possibly Friday (may depend on what time on the 14th they mail it).</p>
<p>I don't know whether or not I want the letter to come. My mom told me today that she had a dream last night that I was deferred from Princeton and eventually end up at JHU (not a bad school, but no Princeton, either). Two nights ago, I, too, had a dream that I would be deferred from Princeton (the letter said something along the line of "you suck").</p>
<p>On the good side, I'd been to a MUN conference lately, and there were two good omens:
a) I saw a Princeton thing carved at a restaurant right as I was debating with my friends whether or not I'd get in (I know...calling this an omen is quite a stretch).
b) I told my friend that "My chances of getting an award here are the same as my chances of getting into Princeton", and I ended up getting an award. (Slightly more of an omen, but still quiiiite a stretch)</p>

<p>cautious pessimism - were you at RUMUN? because i was there too and its in NJ........I was China on the Security Council...........awesome MUN conference.</p>
<p>No, I was IMF at HMUN (Hahvahd MUN). My school sends its seniors to HMUN and juniors and sophs to RUMUN. Last year, I did IBRD at RUMUN ('twas advanced last year...might not even exist this year) and the year before I did EcoFin.</p>
<p>Oh, and let me just say that HMUN is not it's cracked up to be.</p>

<p>1) I dreamt about getting accepted TWICE (too bad they aren't real)
2) My brother dreamt about me getting accepted (see pattern here?)
3) My sister already told her 6 friends that I got in Princeton, and I don't want her look bad :D</p>

<p>I have dreamt of Pton 3 times in the last 10 days....the first time I was rejected via e-mail, impossible but everything is possible in a dream...the second dream I was right by Old Nassau Hall, walking around....the third dream was a large envelope, and it was an acceptance...omg....18 hours until i find out....CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!</p>
