Oh well it just wasn’t meant to be! Honestly, I hope this means I’m meant to be somewhere else, and my spot went to someone who really really wanted to be there

I was playing on five waitlists and I was so sure that this was going to be #6 and then bam! The letter reads congratulations!

Rejected. It was a last minute app, though. I have been accepted at no colleges whose acceptance rates are between 10% and 20%, my target range, but I’ve been accepted at multiple >10% schools. College is weird.

@verizonwireless I’m visiting both Bing and Geneseo. I was nominated as an Edgars Fellow, so if I’m accepted, I will probably go to Geneseo.
Honestly, like I said before, this is just undergrad. I’m happy that I have great choices ahead of me, and I will shine and make each Ivy League/tufts regret rejecting me.
@schroscat – remember, it’s not so much about the school as it is about you.
Honestly, you should go to BING because it’s the best state school in NY and they offer tremendous opportunities to their students.

D was rejected. She was disappointed but took it really well. Those damn scores got her. She’s a little trooper though. Tour of Emmanuel next week and Umass Amherst the following. She knows how hard she worked and is happy with her choices. Best of luck to all, try to keep your heads up for those who didn’t get in, sadly, at this point in the game you are a bunch of numbers but that doesn’t define you. Keep killing em with grades and you can always transfer out to just about anywhere. It’s just an undergrad. To those of you who got in, CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy it and best of luck.
