@readyforthenext4 haha were almost in the same boat, i got scholarships to lehigh & neu but rejected by almost all reaches. tufts is my dream school too… Good luck
@readyforthenext4 Dont give up hope, I also got rejected from Carnegie Mellon and was accepted into the class of 2018 two years ago. College Admissions is a huge crapshoot so don’t let a couple of rejections get you down!
Love Tufts so much. I can hardly wait any longer. I hope we hear on Monday :x
@ymehkri what’s your major?
I hope we hear on Monday! Good luck, everyone.
Monday seems early to me. Tufts usually releases on/around ivy day, which means this weds/thurs.
I’m still going with Monday.
will they release by email/portal or is it mailed?
@lizard27 portal
Guys I don’t know the reliability of the source but I came across with a table on Twitter showing when decisions will be released by a series of universities and it said on April 1st for Tufts. What do you think???
The Tufts website says “by April 1” so the chart is probably keying off of that information as the last possible day. Earlier in the thread a person posted that he/she called Tufts admissions this past Thursday and was told by the person who answered the phone to look for an email anytime between yesterday and April 1st. Lots of colleges say April 1 but release earlier.
Going off of what’s happened in previous years, there should be a tweet up on the Tufts admissions twitter around noon saying that decisions will be released. So if there isn’t anything up by 1pm on Monday, then it probably isn’t Monday.
Post here when you guys see something please
@ub1997 If I attend CMU, I’ll be majoring in Psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience. Similarly, I applied for Biopsychology at Tufts.
@liv101 They released the 30th, 28th and 27th respectively for the past three years. Monday is the 28th, so it wouldn’t be too out of character. They also consistently release on Mondays and Fridays, so Monday makes the most sense. However, if they do change up the day of the week, then Tuesday or Wednesday would definitely make sense. I doubt they’d release on Ivy Day.
Why not Ivy Day? Can someone explain how that works?
Also, I bet decision will be in the afternoon to not interfere with school. I do wish the best of luck to all of you, this is quite an excruciating process.
I think schools generally try to avoid releasing on Ivy Day because A. They know we have a lot to worry about on that day and B. If someone does get into an Ivy as well as a school like Tufts, the Ivy might overshadow it and Tufts would want to avoid that @premstudent
gaa i hope it comes out tomorrow
I think tomorrow will be the day!
If we’re right about tomorrow, that means Tufts and Georgetown on the same day, great. I guess that’s nothing compared to Ivy Day
