Bump - any word on ED interviews?
Just joined! I applied ED and have already had my interview! Hoping for the best.
I requested an interview the day I sent in my application and still haven’t gotten an interview.
I heard from my interviewer about 3 days after I requested, but I believe it depends on where you are located.
@cwestpvb so the email comes directly from the interviewer? Is it clear in the subject line that it is for the Tufts interview? D requested hers on 10/11 and hasn’t heard. I’m sure it’s fine, but I’m starting to get paranoid.
@mjrube94 yes, I was contacted directly. It would probably depend on how the interviewer initially contacts her, but within the first few lines of the email it will say it is about the interview. I have learned it really depends on if there is an alumni rep in the area and how many people requested from that area, so if there is not one then she may not get contacted at all. Tufts does really seem to emphasize that the interview is optional, so if an interview is not available then it should not hurt her application.
^^^I totally agree with cwestpvb. Although I got an email from an interviewer (a current senior at Tufts) a few days after I requested one, it’s most likely because she lives in my town. I wouldn’t worry about it too much, Tufts keeps reiterating that it won’t hurt you if you don’t get an interview because they’re unable to accommodate you! Best of luck to everyone who applied ED!
DS did not get an interview when he applied ED. It depends on whether they have alumni in the area who can do it. They simply don’t have enough to talk to every one who has requested an interview. Don’t sweat it.
Is this group message thing an actual thing because I feel like I’m going explode. Hardly anyone I know is applying anywhere other than UT, ATM, and Baylor (I live in Texas), so they don’t understand.
