So far I’ve received 9 rejections and no acceptances. God, I hope I’ll become a Jumbo in the next few hours.

I really hope we find out today!

I received 7 rejections and 4 waitlists and I hope tufts would take me in. But I’m not so optimistic since I’m an international who asked for a lot of aid, almost a full ride but nothing will break me :)

I got 5 rejects so far (all of my first choices and one safety), 1 waitlist, 2 acceptance (one my safety and one my match), and I’m waiting to hear from Tufts and Gtown. But I don’t think I have a chance for Gtown, because I only submitted 2 SAT Subject Tests, and I applied for a full-ride. They’re famous for not giving out much money to students.

i feel like admission standards for any school skyrocketed this year… its insane.

i hope my deferal at tufts finally comes out positive

@RCLVRR - it’s not only the standards, it’s also a function of the sheer volume of applications. Yes, it’s getting tougher to be admitted but more importantly schools are having to become more and more arbitrary in how they select admitted students because the volume of applicants is so large. On these boards you see MANY really bright well, qualified students being rejected from schools they are fully qualified to attend. The problem is, the school in question got 10x the number of fully qualified students applying than they could possibly admit. So it almost comes down to luck - did your essay strike a chord or not? Did other people apply from your region? Is the school in need of an oboe player? Really, so unpredictable and I feel terrible for the students who feel that rejection means they weren’t “good enough”. You are ALL good enough.

Completely in agreement with @CaMom13 .
Yesterday I got rejected from four of my top choice schools- Harvard, Brown, Yale, and Princeton. I was also wait listed at Williams and Duke, and accepted at Dartmouth, Cornell, and Wellesley. The thing is, I’d been waiting for the day for so long, and I was surprised I didn’t flat out start crying in the moment haha… it was just something I thought I’d do because I wanted to get into Brown or Harvard SO BAD. I guess I was able to put things into perspective and realize that it’s not that I’m not good enough, but that they simply can’t accept all the qualified students. They have to be very selective.
I am very happy about my acceptances and plan to take full advantage of them! :)

Hey, don’t give up hope! Trust me, I learned that yesterday- there are schools that are going to see something in you and accept you. Yesterday I got accepted at Dartmouth and Cornell, and rejected from Brown. They’re pretty much on the same level, but sometimes a school just isn’t a good fit or idk, it doesn’t work out. That doesn’t mean that other similar schools won’t accept you. Have some hopeee and don’t worry! If you worked hard in high school and in your application, then you have as much a chance as everyone else. Just hope that the admissions officers saw something in you!

So do we think we are going to hear today?

Hm, my TAMS account is down… anyone else having the same problem?

I think I’ll come out today because it’s unlikely the decisions would be released on the weekend.

Yes, TAMS site down

My TAMs is down too!

Today seems pretty likely. Some have said 3:00, others have said 5:00. Anyone know which?

I would guess 3 pm since ED was released at that time.

Probably April 1st like it says here.

@ChessNBio if you look back through the last few pages you’ll see people’s reasoning for why it will be before April 1. Most importantly, the dean of admissions himself said it would be this week.

TAMS is working again… no decision tho hopefully they’ll come out at 3

Is everyone else’s TAMS down? Mine isn’t
