Tufts Vs. Northwestern

I need help deciding between Tufts (School of Liberal Arts) and Northwestern (Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences)!

The two seem to have a lot in common - vaguely similar in size, prestige, and location. Northwestern seemed more lively when I did my overnight and they all kept telling me that Tufts was "bitter" and all that stereotypical stuff. I really liked the people I met at Northwestern, however, I just returned from this visit so it's fresh in my memory and I can barely remember Tufts!!

Northwestern is a 2 hour plane flight for me, while Tufts is about a 2 hour drive.
I prefer the campus (flat, large) at Northwestern to Tufts, but I prefer Tufts' buildings.
I don't know how I feel about sororities - I don't think it is something I'd be into, but the Northwestern social life seemed so much livelier than Tufts (which doesn't really have many sororities) but I hate to judge by this because I may have just gone on a bad night!
As for academics, the quarter system at NU seems doable, but what concerns me is the emphasis on research at NU. Tufts seems more undergrad-friendly and more like it has a smaller liberal arts college feel. Both schools are strong in the sciences (which is what I want, I'm thinking maybe enviro or comp sci) but are also helpful for students who are undecided (I am completely not sure).

I don't know what to do! Please help! What are your opinions of these schools?

Northwestern over Tufts.

I remember staying at Tufts and a lot of them are bitter. It really threw me off.

I kind of noticed that too but I hate to have that be my main reason...
