Tuition Exchange question for junior D… So, I just found out our host school (B.U) doesn’t notify if you’ve been approved for TE (based on seniority) until the very end of December which seems crazy late to me. We are very hopeful to receive TE from the host school as my husband has been employed there for a very long time. However, just worried about the timing of the applications. Some of the schools my D wants to apply to on the TE have EA available. So she could be sending in her college app in November but the school doesnt get the TE paperwork from our host school until the end of Dec or maybe even Jan? Is that a problem? Is this typical that the host schools dont send out the TE documentation to the schools you want to apply to this late? I’ve tried calling a few of the schools that have EA deadlines to ask this question but honestly you feel like you are asking a question to someone who has no clue what they are talking about! Any advice?!? Thank you!
Yes this is unfortunately the timing for most of them. We heard on the early side for some but some dragged into April. It’s definitely a process that doesn’t take into account the concept of EA or ED. I suggest reaching out to the schools of interest very early to understand how they make their TE decisions.
