I think that, provided you demonstrate sufficient interest, you have a good chance at admission to Tulane. If you held leadership positions in your ECs it will strengthen your application. Note that it will be a difficult admissions cycle for Tulane for the class of 2020, as they had an unforeseen uptick in yield last year and admitted a very large class. That, coupled with a 13 point rise in the USNWR ranking, should push the yield up further. Please remember to demonstrate your interest in attending Tulane by writing the optional Why Tulane essay, visiting campus (if you can afford it) and sending a special note to your admissions counselor if it is indeed one of your top 2 choices. Too many students with stats above Tulane’s averages have been unpleasantly surprised in recent years because the school greatly prefers people who appreciate it as a great school in a great city – with offerings in just about every area and a broad international orientation – to people who are only marginally interested in attending.
