I was excited and ready to go to Tulane until I suddenly found out I had been accepted to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (for bioengineering). I’ve always wanted the American college experience, but my mother would prefer NTU since it is safer and better ranked. Now I am very torn between the two. My question is: is it worth it to sacrifice the more well-rounded experience for one that looks better on a resume? I can afford both (with a scholarship at Tulane) so money is not a factor. Any advice is appreciated!
Where are you from and what do you want to do?
India and biomedical or chemical engineering.
Nanyang probably has a bigger name in India. Tulane would in the US.
@PurpleTitan Thanks for the reply! Also, would either of them give me an advantage for the top Masters/PhD programs in the US?
If you plan to go to grad school in the US, they’re probably familiar with both but more so with Tulane.
Thanks, I’m pretty sure I’ll stick with Tulane.
