Is there any advantage to turning in RD apps a little early? I’m done with 6 out of my 8 RD applications, but I was wondering if it makes a difference whether or not I turn those in early. I usually like to turn in all apps at the same time, but if there’s any advantage, then I’d like to turn in my six finished ones. No college I’m applying to has rolling admissions by the way.
Nah. But in case of technical issues no reason to wait to the last minute.
At this point, most AOs are off for the holidays anyway. Submit them if you’re happy with them and have triple-checked everything. Otherwise, wait until you have done so. Just don’t wait until 11:59.
There is no advantage admissions-wise. But if you feel your application is done to the best of your ability I’d submit it and be done.
Submitting early avoids the possibility of a list minute glitch-- of a snowstorm somewhere in the country wiping out electricity, of some last minute crisis in your life preventing you from getting to the apps.
I think the question should be: “Is there any advantage in waiting until the last minute to submit?” And my answer is a heartfelt NO!!
Thanks, I’ll turn them in when I feel completely confident about them if there’s no advantage. Probably will do it in the next few days.
