Hi, I've just received two admissions of master's proram.
One is from Boston University, Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, non-thesis, one year.
The other is from Binghamton University, Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, two year.
I don't know how to choose. Boston's ranking of BME is pretty respectful, but the cost is much higher than Binghamton. And also I don't know how people treat thest two degrees, M.S and M.Eng.
I have not made up my mind whether to find a job or apply for a PhD program after graduating from the master's program.
It would be lovely to hear some advices from you guys.
Thanks.

I would heartily recommend the thesis-based MS over the coursework-only MEng, especially if you are considering a PhD in the future. It will help with applications, interviews, and in completing the PhD.

Thanks for ur advice.
But what if I want to get employed after get the master’s degree?
And Boston’s BME seems much better than Binghamton’s. How should I consider from this aspect?

I can’t say which school is better - not my field, not my schools. If both are decent, I would generally go with the better program design and least cost (i.e. Binghamton), but I don’t really know the gap between the programs.

For employment, the MEng will be less of an issue, but in my experience those with thesis-based masters degrees end to advance faster and farther once they are hired.

Thanks. I’ll think it through.
