Two Options: settle for less or go into debt (advice?)

Love to hear your stats (SATS, ACT, GPA, etc.)

go to uominn. ill meet u there. i had theoption to go to gt but just couldnt afford it as i dont qualify for fin aid(intl student lol)

There is a possibility that although your parents may be able to afford Northwestern, perhaps they are not willing to pay $200,000 plus for undergraduate college, when you are getting a free ride somewhere. Sometimes what you can afford and what you are willing to pay are two different things.

This is an old thread…

Someone revived it with the choice between Fordham and Iona. Iona is the free ride. The student needs to take the free ride.

Save your money for law school. (Go to Fordham for law school. )

I agree with momof2collegekids about taking the free ride to Iona, unless your family can afford Fordham without your family or you going into large amounts of debt. Just make sure that housing at Iona is not going to be an issue. I spoke with someone who was considering Iona a couple of years ago, and at that time housing was a big issue for them. I don’t know what the details were about housing. Regardless of housing issues, don’t put yourself into a position of taking on huge loans.
