TWO QUESTIONS: Net price calculators and financial aid packages.

Hello, parents. I was wondering if anyone would mind saying which schools that their children applied to offered the best financial aid packages (and whether or not your family accepted those deals). I would also like to know what everyone's experiences with NPCs have been like. Have you found them to be fairly accurate and for which schools? I tried posting this thread, but I didn't get the responses I was looking for. Thanks.

SgtDonut – you may find much more useful information on the Financial Aid forum. There are many experienced parents who can help.

My experience was that the net price calculator for my daughter’s need blind top 20 school had absolutely no bearing to reality, in part because I am self-employed. It depends on the school, and it depends on your child. I truly believe that every school likes to think of itself as being objective when it comes to awarding financial aid, but in truth, they want some kids more than others, and the financial aid package reflects that.

Okay, thank you, I will try posting this there as well.

Bump, come on y’all.
