Two Questions!!

Hey, What's up!!

I applied to Rice--last minute (11:59) Common Application-- and I wanted to know what was next? Do I send in the supplemental information now, or do I wait for Rice to mail me the information. Also, who do I email? What's a email addy as to where I can submit unanswered questions.

Moreover, does "You are welcome to submit additional class work, lab work, slides, newspaper articles, etc. " actually give weight to your application? I have a few papers I would like to submit and lab work and etc.. Thanks

Rice states that if you receive the Supplement after the deadline, you should turn it in within two weeks of your receiving it. However, the official time for the Supplement to be post-marked is by January 10th for Regular Decision (page 3 on the Supplement PDF file). You could print it out and send it in instead of waiting for them to send it to you.

Here's a link to the Supplement's download page (it seems that Rice's just updated their website, and the link to the Supplement in the Freshman page is actually the link to the Transfer Supplement - not the actual Freshman one): http://www.sendspace.com/file/a38plm.

Hope that helps. =)

Send the supplement ASAP and write a note stating you didn't know the supplement had to be sent by January 10th. They might forgive you.

Wow, the wrong supplement! Thanks so much!

Any answers to the latter question?

if they say welcome to then it probably will make a differencce.. remember, we arent adcoms

Never said you all were adcoms, but I assumed that you had some knowledge in the admissions area given the context of your post.
