UCLA gpa: 3.8
soph year: eng honrs, chem honors, hist honors, math anal
junior year: ap calc, ap physics, ap eng, hist honors
sat 1 sitting: 2140 730 cr 720 wr 690 m
exC: 4 years free tutoring at a local Kumon, 2 years 400 hours microssoft internship, tennis team 4 years
recs: one from microsoft (email to my boss, signed on official microsoft business paper), my ap eng teacher wrote me a great one (knwon him 4 years) counselor ive known 4 years wrote me a solid one too
hooks: microsoft, family income 23,000 a year (but my dad works out of USA so he sends us money its just not American income)</p>

<p>no u mich is unweighted GPA. my UC gpa is my weighted acaemidc GPA with only 8 semesters of extra points.</p>

<p>Aside from that I'd bet you'll get into both. Being an in-state student will give you an advantage, too, though I'm not sure where you live. Your SATs are pretty good (what's considered the middle 50% of most Ivy ranges) and your main EC is awesome. Microsoft? That's pretty impressive. You don't have a lot of EC's but you've definitely shown passion in the ones you chose.</p>

<p>You're getting conflicting opinions because you haven't given your state of residence. Both those schools are very hard to get into out of state.</p>
