Two small dilemas

I am wondering whether or not I am a sophomore or junior. I have been at my college for 1 year(fall and spring semesters) and have taken a total of 6 course(18 credit hours). I am wondering, if I were to study at my college during fall semester then apply for transfer in the spring, would I count as a sophomore or junior? What if I applied during the spring and then took one semester for spring time at my college?

The other dillema:

I am wondering whether I should take an art appreciation course or a world literature course. I notice that a lot of colleges have humanities general education requirements in order to earn a bachelor's degree. However, I'm worried that Art Appreciation might not be considered(or admissions counselors might not consider it rigorous). On the other hand, the Art Appreciation course at my college has a transfer equivalency with Georgia Tech, while the world literature course might not. What would be the better option to take?

I'm mostly asking this because I am out of town and I can't reach my adviser at the moment.

bumping this thread…

Over here in California you need 60 units to transfer as a Junior, not sure if it’s different where you are at. Look around online and see if you can find anything.
Also, I would advise you take which ever class seems more interesting to you and will transfer to the university of your choice.
The art appreciation class will be extremely easy and will most likely, if it’s for GE I doubt the university will care if it’s rigorous or not. World literature sounds more challenging, but you want to make sure the credit for that course will transfer. You’ll have to wait to find out until you can talk to an advisor for a better answer on that question.

I hope this helped at all!
