Does anybody else think that handwriting essays at home is a waste of time? I'm a fast typer, and I can type out my thoughts easily on the computer and erase there, whereas with writing, my handwriting looks like crap, and I can't erase my thoughts without having the essay look really ugly. I can write when I need to, sure, but why write when you have the opportunity to type? My AP lit teacher is stuck on the fact that we'll be writing during the AP test, and we have to get used to it....well, what about after that? What about in college? Anybody agree?

your teacher is weird. We NEVER have to hand write essays. And I definitely agree that writing essays that could be typed is stupid.

oh yes. the ap is handwritten thing.
crap.
complete crap.
I type WAYYYYY faster than I write, its such a waste of time to handwrite an at-home essay for me.

sure the ap is handwritten. you also get like 30 minutes to write an essay. what is the point of making us handwrite essays if we're spending days and hours at a time writing them int he first place. the point is already ruined....

my APUSH teacher tried to make us do that. hahahha. it was so pointless. everyone just typed it and rewrote it on paper---and all that accomplished is that our wrists hurt like crazy after that.
There's absolutely no point
thankfully, my APUSH teacher soon go the picture.

I write incredibly small and so my teachers give me a shorter length amount than everyone else or they allow me to type it. However, rarely do they ever require us to handwrite it.
