I know the student body is primarily from the east coast. Does this have a big impact? People from the east coast tend to have the reputation of being preppy, conceited, cutthroat, and/or rude. Which is totally not me. What exactly is the typical student like? Any information is greatly appreciated!

I’m from the Midwest and I was a little concerned about this when I first came, but I haven’t found it to be a problem. Yeah, there are always a few people like that, no matter what part of the country you’re in. Northeastern is not a school that prep students aim for, so that may play a role. Northeastern is also trying to attract a more geographically diverse student body. When I was applying, the statistics said 2% of the students matriculating the previous year were from the Midwest. What’s currently on the website from last year is 5%. That doesn’t really mean a ton, but just to give you a sense.
