<p>My s liked oberlin but feels u mich has a stronger poly sci program and the rc may provide some of the advantages of the oberlin. merit at oberlin makes it about the same cost as u mich.</p>

<p>Encourage Michigan at similar cost if your s likes it well enough. The east quad is being remodled, that is where the RC is located, and should provide an even better experience than ever for those who like this type of environment.</p>

<p>Both are excellent choices but very different. If cost is not an issue, I would suggest your son make the choice based on fit.</p>
<p>I agree with res ipsa. One cannot go wrong with Oberlin or Michigan. Both are excellent places to pick up an undergraduate education. I would go with fit.</p>
