U Michigan vs UCLA vs UCSD for biology-related major

I’ve been accepted to several universities and narrowed my list down to three schools Umich (LSA), UCLA (pre microbiology, immunology and molecular genetics) and UCSD (Muir/molecular biology). I’m an international student so attending costs are all the same.

Unfortunately, I cannot visit the campuses before having to make the decision so any insights into the biological sciences major/depts, research opportunities, internships, flexibility to change major, academic life, campus atmosphere, student life… (basically anything to make the decision easier) are much appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Ive also read somewhere about the endowment, financial differences between these schools with Umich is the richest, largest endowment and the UCs are having trouble with financial cut from the state. Is it true? and if it is, does this affect much the school quality, facility or research opportunities?

You will have more flexibility switching majors, and more academic options, at Michigan.

UCLA and uMich are (in my opinion) the actual two competitors

Michigan is constructing a new 300,000 sq. ft. biological science bldg. which will complete by summer 2018.
