U. of California leaders support dropping use of SAT, ACT from admissions requirement

This isn’t new. It has been discussed for at least a couple of years. Both Governors Brown and Newsom vetoed bills that would have substituted the ACT/SAT for CAASPP testing in 11th grade. Both governors referenced that a faculty study/task force was in place.
