U of I In State International Student

Hello this is my first time posting in this site, and I'm not sure if this is the right forum. But anyway, I am an International Student who moved to Illinois two years ago and is currently a Junior in High School. If I am not mistaken, in state requirement for U of I is at least three years, and I will be fulfilling that requirement. However, being an international student that is in state, which is a rare case, I do not know a approximate price value for my early tuition in U of I (that is if I get in). Does anyone have any idea about this? I know in state for U.S citizens is pretty cheap but out state international student is really expensive.

If anyone could help me, please give me some ideas THANK YOU

It depends on what kind of visa you hold. You need to contact the office of admissions and ask them.

I agree with the above poster, but will add that many IS for UIUC do not think it’s cheap.

Hey I was in the same situation. I just received my green card in March. If you are currently applying for a green card what you can do at UIC and UIUC is file an Appeal for Adjustment of Status Paper and they will give you in state tuition. Though do be warned the aid at these institutions is horrendous. Btw for science majors UIUC costs around 33k and nonscience I think is around 29k while nonresidents pay around 43k.

Thank you for all your posts… I will have to check with the admission office, but if what littleindia70 kindly posted is true, that would be devastating for me…
