U of Notre Dame Chance

Okay here goes - I LOVE ND and I really want to go. I've never made one of these posts but I want to get an idea if I have a chance to go to ND!!
Also I'm applying EA. Will that help or hurt my chances?

SAT: 2120
Math 710
CR: 660
Writing: 750

SATII:
Bio: 760
Math II: 690 (didn't study - retaking in October)

ACT: 33 composite
Science 31
Reading: 29
Math: 36
Writing: 35

Weighted GPA: 4.25
No rank at my school but definitely somewhere at the top. Very difficult course load.
NOTE: Dip in my grades end of Junior year for good reason, explaining on additional info section of common app. Also I go to a top public school with ~400 kids in each grade.

ECs: Won't write all out, but varying clubs and varsity sports, worked 3 jobs, lots of church community service, leadership positions, etc. Summer program at a biotech company. Plan to major in Biology.

Honors: NHS, high honors grades 9 & 10 but just regular honors 11 because of previously mentioned dip in grades. Leadership awards, a few english awards.

This year I'm taking my hardest course-load and my grades are good so far.

Also: I am a legacy plus a relative was a professor there, also several cousins & aunts and uncles attended/are attending now.

Anything else? Chance me please! Should I wait until regular decision to increase my grades? Which test scores should I send? Also planning on applying to BC, Villanova, Fordham, Holy Cross, etc. Maybe Georgetown but I doubt it. Thanks!!

Just for reference - ECs include:
Newspaper editor
Sports: JV captain 2 sports, Varsity captain 1 sport
Volunteering at soup kitchens, coaching sports for little kids, religious ed teacher/assistant, peer ministry, ryla 2 years, Jsa treasurer, organized charity drives and several fundraisers, work as lifeguard and sports referee, student rep for town meeting, started environmental comminuty wide activity and school enironmental improvement team, piano for many years + competitions, plus summer program for high schoolers at a biotech company. No money for mission trips or exchange programs or anything like that. Please chance me thank you thank you!

Anyone? I’ll chance back!

I think it’s low reach. Good LUCK!

Maybe Georgetown is eaiser. And I think BC is a match.
Is ND’s Biology good? I don’t know about that.

Chance me if you want: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1565195-international-student-chance-me-please.html</a></p>

Just as competitive as any other applicant really. If you can make your essays top notch and if your recs are good, you’ll have a shot!

Btw, your ACT is better than your SAT.

Chance me!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1564865-chance-me-will-chance-back-emory-ed.html</a></p>

Thank you!! I’m hard at work on apps now! I chanced you bath back. Thanks again! Anyone else who comments I can also chance back

You seem to have a very competitive application. Haha Notre Dames my first choice too  I also struggled with the decision to apply EA vs RD but ultimately I ended up going with RD as it’ll give me time to retake the SAT. Good luck! :)

Holy Cross is similar to ND-both great academic schools with very good alumni networks. HC is smaller than ND but easier to get into. ND is a top20 University while Holy Cross is a top25 liberal arts school.

EA does not affect your chances at all at ND. I have discussed this with ND admissions officers multiple times. Your academics are on par for an ND applicant. It sounds like you have very solid ECs as well. The legacy will help a fair amount. I think you have a very solid chance and are a very competitive applicant! I would say it is a high match/low reach. If I were you I would send both test scores. Neither of them will negatively impact you application, and it may help the admissions officers. As for EA vs RD, EA will not boost your chances, you will just hear back earlier. So if you think your grades will increase, then it may be beneficial to wait. Good luck! I hope you get in!

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1561842-chance-me-duke-ed-will-chance-back-within-24-hours.html#post16449634</a></p>

ND: high match/low reach

please chance back
