I'm in my first semester here, and needless to say, it hasn't been going too well due to some personal issues I'm working on with CPS. Because of this I've decided to drop a class in order to make the course load more manageable while I work through this. The problem is that this nw brings me to 9 credits, and I'm in a Columbia facilities UAH room. Will I have to vacate the room because of this? It seems like an awful harsh policy.

Official policy is you have to vacate within 30 days.

So stop wasting your time talking to us and talk to them about whether there is any room for special allowances in the policy. :)

Hopefully you’ve already worked it out. If not, there may be opportunities for special allowances. Talk to your advisor ASAP if you haven’t yet (if you’re dropping classes, you should already be talking to your advisor). If there’s still problems, I suggest emailing gs-housing@columbia.edu and explaining your circumstances.

As a student, I truly hope they’re able to accommodate you.

@ebladez15,

I have some experience with this, and sent you a private message.

Sincerely,
Christina
