UC Admissions help please!

<p>I am applying to the UC system this month. I already know my major, but am confused: am I supposed to apply to a professional school as an incoming freshman? If this is true, are some “sub-schools” harder to get into then others? (e.g. College of letters and science, college of engineering, college of chemistry and environmental , offered at let’s say UCLA.</p>

<p>You will apply to the school that houses your intended major. Ex: English major, apply to College of Letters and Science. Some majors/schools are more difficult to gain admission to depending on the campus.</p>
