Is the answer to this question, “What was the total income earned for year 2018 by the parents or legal guardians listed above?” the adjusted gross income found on line 7 of the 1040? Or total income found in line 6? Thank you.

Family income is total income from all sources before taxes and other deductions (also called “gross income”). Total income from line 6.

The income is only needed if you are applying for a fee waiver.
