just to let you know if you appealed berkeley, its posted online.

Sockherplayer, I spoke with UCSB admissions a few days ago...they said they will decide on the appeals after May 2 when all the SIR's have been turned in. I don't know if that means the decisions will be right away or if they will take days. My daughter appealed UCSB and is also waiting for an answer. Good Luck!!

It's a no go to ucla for me. I just heard back today from their website. I'm very glad ucla responded before may 2nd, even though it was bad news. Now i can rest easy when i send my SIR to ucsd!

Hey Juicy, did you hear back?

nope i did not hear back and i dont know where im goin..SB maybe

My neighbor works at UCLA and says there were an unbelievable number of appeals that overwhelmed admissions. Very, very few are being granted. Those that are are mainly those where mistakes were made like miscalculated GPAs or lost SAT scores or where there is a documented family hardship such as parent recently diagnosed with serious illness.

Sorry kids, but there is a new reality where UCs are concerned, standards just keep going up.

were the people who appealed to davis notified on the website? or by mail?
