UC Berkeley application received

I also received mine at around 4pm. Apparently we also need to update grades and classes for Berkeley.

I really wish Berkeley wouldn’t ask us to do this extra application-related stuff on their website. It seems like it will be a pain in the coming weeks.

@Cayton

It IS annoying.

@JYtransfer

That’s what I would do. My CC doesn’t do +/- grading either.

@JYtransfer and @Cayton

Wouldn’t that then lower your UCB GPA???

If you have A’s that are counted as 4.0’s and to UCB a 4.0 grade is considered an A+ a regular A equals a 3.7 so wouldn’t that affect you negatively?

Actually the UC’s count both an A+ and A as a 4.0
Only an A- hurts your chances, being counted as a 3.7

According to:

[Grade and Credit Code Definitions - Office Of The Registrar](http://registrar.berkeley.edu/gradeskey.html)

^ if they got B+s it would help them.

It says B’s are counted the same, 3.0

Guys, Seeing that the CCC are the biggest feeder to the UC system. I can guarantee that they know which CC’s are +/- and which aren’t. If you put a plus grade, I’m pretty sure once they look at your current school they will make adjustments.

Just a thought.

marcuscolon-My d had the same question about science and lab–she put both course names down Physical Geology 101 & 101L and indicated 4 units (3 +1)…hope that is correct!!

I’m a little peeved they’re making us enter all of this info yet again.

@SockherMom

Thanks. I did the same thing, putting both theoretical and lab courses. Hope WE are right :)

@Snorlaz

Yeah, same here. Makes me not want to go to Berkeley. :P
