UC Berkeley Conditions for Admission Chemical Engineering

I was just offered admission as a transfer student for ChemE to UCB. I was told in my Conditions for Admission I need to complete the following courses with grades of B or better:

  • PHYS 41 Waves, Optics and Thermodynamics for Scientists & Engineers
  • CHEM 12B Organic Chemistry
  • MATH 5 Introduction to Linear Algebra
  • ENGL 1B Literature and Composition
  • ENGR 16 Electric Circuits & Devices

I will not be able to complete ENGR 16 because I never enrolled because the class was restricted during my registration period as the teacher who usually did the class left on sabbatical and they did not have a teacher for the course at the time at my JC.

I said in my UC TAU both for UCB and for the UC System, prior to being offered admission, that I was not in ENGR 16. This was back in January, so I’m assuming they knew at the time that I was not enrolled in ENGR 16.

My question is: will my offer be rescinded as a result of not being in ENGR 16? I am taking all the other classes I need to take. Am I supposed to fill out a Transfer Admissions Undergraduate Update Form, or should I talk to a counselor first and figure that out?

Just an update: UC Berkeley had a system maintenance update, and now the class has been removed so all is good!
