My friend just started UCB as a transfer, Spring admit.

I posted a funny meme on his Facebook wall about curved grades and he replied with...

"Hehe... Turns out none of social scences classes at Cal are graded on a curve"

Is that true?? What about for econ?? Has something changed or am I missing something??

I’ve always been under the impression that the classes with curves are the ones in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering.

Why would Social Sciences, including Economics, classes to be curved?

I believe my friend’s comment to be inaccurate. I called him on it and he said he heard this from some other poli sci majors. He says none of his Berkeley poli sci classes are graded on a curve.

I went to UCLA and majored in economics. Many of my econ classes were graded on a curve. I did not go to Berkeley but I believe many social science classes there (such as some econ classes) are graded on a curve. Can any Berkeley students confirm this?

there is definitely a curve for berkeley econ
