Interested hearing from other students (or parents of) who were rejected by Berkeley but have or are planning to appeal. Please include stats and ECs, and if you are declared (and major) or undeclared.
How do you plan to present your appeal?
Hi @CalifMom2Twins
I sent an admissions appeal the very next day after receiving my rejection letter. I put in the accomplishments I received after submitting my application, such as positive research project feedback and other awards.
I basically put in all my accomplishments into a list. I did not write anything like Dear Admissions Officer or anything like that because I had no space.
Anyone’s appeal successful? Mind to share what to put?
My DD has not submitted her appeal yet. Her stats were not high enough (3.92, 30 ACT) for admission, and sI think she may not want to receive yet another rejection. I am encouraging her to appeal regardless.
Any updates?
From Threads of previous years appeal come out starting mid-May
Any news?
I haven’t heard anything yet…
I think this Friday most of the acceptance will come out so good luck
You too man, let’s hope our work pays off.
Just got an email and update – accepted OOS to EECS! idek anymore
@nigeluno congrats! I wondering if anyone else has heard back. What was the basis of your appeal if you dont mind me asking?
@Pepsi1022 DM
Anybody else get theirs? Still no update on mine:
Nope haven’t heard anything yet. Called admissions, who just said they’ll be out by June 1st
quote I am encouraging her to appeal regardless.

Why?
The kids should apply, not the parents.
Dang, really hope I get in.
huge congrats @nigeluno! could I ask what kind of enrollment options they gave you? I’ve heard they only offered global edge and FPF SF/Berkeley in previous years as opposed to direct fall semester enrollment
@ladical Thank you! I was offered admission for fall 2019.
