you should bring those SAT scores up!! sign up for the december SAT tests and on ur UC app, designate that you will take the SAT test in december.

I don't know how in the world you call berkeley a reach and then UCLA a safe match. The UC schools are purely statistical. You have a decent shot at all of them but UCLA and Berkeley are reaches until you get your scores up.

well. i was thinking that SATs are not everything. his GPA, AP classes, and class rank are pretty high up there.

25/700 or so

thanks
wat if got my sat score to low 1300's
i looked at the break down at my score and the reason i did poorly was because i screwed up on the geometry
if i review the geometry a little im sur ei can go up

Take this from someone who lives in California, SAT2 are more important for the UCs than SAT I.

You still need a sufficient score and a 1300 is really all that is needed for California.

Since the UCs are really popular, its a huge advantage to live there

How come no one talks about ELC for the UCs?

I guess all of you guys dont actually live in Cali

Well, if youre designated as top 4% in your high school in Cali, you get the special ELC designation and have a much higher chance at the UCs. %s are like 99% at Irvine, Davis and San Diego. Its 60% at Berkeley and a little bit less at UCLA. UCLA is extremely popular, and i swear, sports come first there.

ya since i live in california and have the elc thing, shouldnt i stand a decent chance at either ucla or ucb? they have like a 50 and 60 % acceptance rates for elc kids

ELC isnt guarantee but a much higher chance.

everyone californian on CC has ELC

sleepisbliss--"everyone californian on CC has ELC" not true. I'm not because even though I'm in the top 2% I'm graduating without a foreign language!! So GPA, class rank, 750 SAT2's, 5 AP, 1500 SAT mean nothing. No UC or Cal State for me (I made the choice), but don't jump to conclusions.

ok a lot of people here have it, but thats because they are such outstanding
dont forget that most of the state doesn't

lol i wasnt serious...
