I dont think I made any stupid mistake cause I got accepted to UCSD

Maybe I’m OVERQUALIFIED for UCD?

The GPA for my major was 2.9. It differs from Major to Major. For STATISTICS the requirement is a 2.9.

You should just give them a call to figure it out.

@ANDS! Maybe they saw something happen (grade drop…) during Fall semester that made them change their mind…? If not, I suggest you contact them because the TAG is a contract.

Best of luck. [:

I got rejected as well. Bummer. Thanks for making me wait, Davis.

well, I’m taking 7 classes right now, but my mid term grade was all As with one C

I dont think it can be a problem =(

no TAG

The only thing I can think of, was that when I met with our advisor, I was under the impression that my GPA was .02 below what I needed to be, and so we discussed if the TAG could be written. I left with the impression that it wouldn’t, however I got the email saying the “transferable” GPA was above what it needed to be (2.98) and so the TAG was written. The only other requirements were completing 8 units and the English Critical Thinking class. Now, is it possible an actual tag wasn’t written - I don’t see why not if I got the email, and the information is still up on the website. I mean someone had to write it. The ONLY thing I can think of is that “I”, but I called about that weeks ago, and did the math - the grades I’m getting would absorb the “F” (if the Incomplete is calculated as such) and still maintain the 2.9. I plan on calling tomorrow, but it would be nice if they provided information WHY a person was rejected. I mean someone had to enter that information in correct?

^^did you confirm your TAG on the TAG website?

^^
If the TAG was submitted and you got the e-mail in November saying you were accepted to TAG and everything else in the contract was followed, then there should be no reason why they denied you. Definitely call in asap and let them know, they’re breaking that TAG contract.

Good luck!

I did the day I got the email, November 7th.

^
I got it that same day too! I signed it and sent it back that day as well.
So yeah…definitely give them a call…this isn’t right!!!

did you apply to UC Davis on your pathways application?
(did you check the box that said UC Davis so your app would transmit to them)

other than that the only reason they would reject you with a TAG is if you didn’t satisfy the unit & GPA requirement or didn’t follow the schedule you gave them…

if you did all that, give your TAG rep a call and ask him/her “WHAT THE F U CK HAPPENED YOU PIECE OF S H I T!”

^
Forgot about that.

Also, you had to make sure to check the box that stated that you had the UCD TAG completed.

Yes. I did everything I had to: verified TAG, applied to UCD (it was the only UC I applied to; traveling is not an option), and completed the “Fall/Spring” update notice. The ONLY change was updating the incomplete class to reflect retaking it in the summer of this year (knowing full well it would be calculated as an F). I have already shot off an email to the TAG coordinator at our CC and will be calling Admissions first thing tomorrow morning. Perhaps someone calculated my UC GPA incorrectly - who knows. All I know is I’m on the outside looking in (again in regards to UCD), and that I really am too old for this.

^
I’m sure you’ll have some luck tomorrow, don’t worry. It would really suck if they did that sort of thing to you, considering it was the only UC you applied to…-.-;;

Will you have 60 transferable units completed at the end of Spring semester? If not, you didn’t meet the unit requirement.

So yea, I guess they know I was a TAG-student as well. Really at a loss here. Can tell you, the booze is flowing right now. I just completed an app for CSUS; not gonna let this nonsense stop me.

Of course. Unless they somehow changed an English critical thinking class and Calculus class to nontransferable w/o lettings us poor sclubs know.

Hmmm. I’m looking at this “application” and I came upon this portion:

Yet in the “Academic History” section, I have the classes being taken. Good lord I hope this wasn’t what sunk my battleship.

you have to fulfill IGETC before transfer…

not doing so is grounds to revoke your tag, look at the first thing under ACADEMIC HISTORY

The IGETC isn’t required for a tag. Unless UCD and the UCD coordinator are/were misinformed.

^ sounds like they were, because i’m 99.9% sure it is a required part of the TAG.
