I just wanted to know how UC Davis's Pre-med program was?

If it's a good program, I was thinking on going pre-med instead of pre-vet, as I planned.

I think the courses are the same for pre-vet and pre-med. Most colleges have a blanket "health professions" advising system that covers pre-vet.

You should ask UC Davis, but I suspect the support system is the same for both. Does UC Davis have a vet school? If so, that would be a huge plus.

UC Davis has both a medical school and a vet school. The pre-vet and pre-med programs are similar but not quite the same. The chemistry, math, and physics courses are much the same, but in pre-vet you will probably end up taking some animal science courses that a pre-med student would not. Pre-vets also must have work experience as an aide in animal clinics.

In general, since there are far fewer vet schools around, vet school admission is more competitive that medical school admission (and medical achool admission is plenty competitive). At Davis the you often see the phenomenon of the perpetual vet school applicant - people who are on their 4th, 5th, or 6th post-college year of applying to and getting rejected by the vet school.
