<p>you know what i hate most about guys (actually, people i meet in general)?</p>
<p>when you start talking about some world crisis like extreme poverty, world hunger, AIDS, malaria or the situation in Tibet. 97% of the time, the conversation hits a wall when the other person, typically a guy (i have female friends that do this too), goes "I mean, whatever, I don't really give a **** because at least it's not me."</p>
<p>i hate that. it's just... incredibly frustrating to talk to someone who says stuff like that. often enough, one day it will be you and then what are you going to do when no one else cares, because "at least it's not [them]"?</p>
<p>I am only mentioning this extremely irrelevant topic because I just got off the phone with a guy in one of my classes and when he asked me what i was doing, I happened to be reading an article on Tibet. He said that stupid line and now I'm extremely annoyed.</p>

<p>xleper- i think you hang out with the wrong people. yeah, i know a lot of people who dont know any thing about whats going on and dont really care, but i also know a lot of people who are well aware of the world around them and kinda care. there are also those who dont know but show concern (or at least pretend to).</p>
