Math/Econ. Rather competitive, I guess. Decent GPA, will be able to complete prereqs by spring 2015 quarter. Have two jobs as a tutor and another that is business related. I’d prefer not to post specifics…

I think if you are 3.6+ you have a decent chance (comparing admitted vs enrolled). Having major-related ECs will also be a plus.

Thanks :)

50% acceptance rate is pretty good.

Also - another question. One of the recommended pre-reqs for math/econ is a course in intro to c++. I emailed UCLA and they said that there is no equivalent course at UCI. Does anyone know if missing a recommended prereq (not a required one) will really hurt you in the admissions process?

It’s best not to miss prereqs if at all possible. Is it possible to take it at a local community college?

Or online? Who is the person with the link to all of the online CC classes available, I forgot to bookmark it the last time it was posted.

Online classes in CA.

Yes! Thank you @2016Candles !!

Do the UC extension programs count?? I think I might have found one that will work through the UCI extension…

Some do but they have an X or some other X combo in the course title. At least it works that way with Berkeley (the X). You should contact Extension and ask specifically which ones are comparable
