***UC Irvine Class of 2022 Applicants***

@collegedreamer167 UCI usually comes out this week around or before March 15 based on prior years. They don’t publish the release date but could expect they might come around March 14, 15 or 16. Also, they don’t usually release all the notifications at one time the way that UCD did last Friday. They release some one the first day of release and then the rest are released in waves or even trickles for rest of March (this is the typical pattern from past years).

I received my acceptance to UCI (for nursing) early on February 22. There’s nothing on my portal for the Honors program or reagents scholarship. I’m wondering why I wasn’t invited into the Honors program. Or, is that still rolling? I have a 4.5 GPA,1200 SAT score, and extracurriculars.

To see if you got CHP, look at the top right. If you got CHP it will say campuswide honors in a box above virtual tour. I believe you should at least be CHP if you got in early @itit218

@itit218 ugh what?! I have the same stats as you but I didn’t receive any early notif  I only thought it wasn’t only for top applicants, but now nvm.

I got my early admissions notification on February 22. It could be possible regular notifications are released on March 22.

Im starting to have nightmares about not being accepted sighs it’s fine. Davis accepted me anyway.

Hello everyone! I applied as a nursing major at UCI however, I have not received any acceptance yet like those who received it on February 22. Is there a possibility that they already sent out all of the acceptances for the nursing school and if we have not heard back from them now, it means we did not get in? Thanks for answering and good luck to all of you guys

@chemlovr314 I doubt they would be over with nursing, plus it would really be unfair if they already filled up the major with only top applicants. You still have a chance.

@usot00 Congrats, I’m a CHP student for UCI too! Did you get your financial aid award yet? I can’t find it anywhere in my portal, and I just emailed the financial aid office.

So there has been a theory for years that if you don’t get into Davis you have a higher chance of getting into UCI or UCSB. But people just say things lol. Good luck friends.

@person2000 I don’t have a box that says campuswide honors :-/ Above virtual tours, I have campus tours and above that I have a box that says UC Irvine information & special events. I guess I didn’t get CHP

@dasanise No not yet!! On Saturday, I received a package from UC Irvine that was just some stickers and a huge #FutureAnteater poster. I got excited because I initially thought it was the financial aid package but I guess we will to wait. My assumption is maybe we will receive the package the day when acceptances come out since we received early admittance!! BIG CONGRATS on getting CHP by the way!

I’m on the same boat! I haven’t heard of any acceptances? But I wonder if they weigh test scores and gpa the highest?

@Aaammmlll that theory isn’t as reliable as it sounds. Each UC campus is different and are separate on how they judge applicants. UCD just judged applicants differently this year and that is their own choice on how to change it up this year. UCI has no knowledge on which colleges an applicants have been accepted to. Whatever theory is out there about yielding or whatever after UCD, just keep in mind every UC criteria is different.

To owls2017, not sure about other UCs because the deadline is up but you could try calling any of them and see if they will still let you apply. The community colleges are a great idea also, Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill Ca is good and you also may try any of the state colleges, especially the ones that don’t always fill up, they might let you apply late. What area of California are you interested in?

SoCal

@itit218 Congrats!!! Getting into their nursing program is extremely hard. What do you believe made you stand out?

@person2000 - DS1 and DS2 received snail mail letters 3/10. No FA info yet.

Do you guys think decisions are coming out today?

@collegedreamer167 why do you think that decisions are possibly coming out today?
