@LordOfThePings Did you take a full year of java at least? They only ask for you to take one course in c++ so you should be okay. Based on assist.org, there is never any mention of the physics series being a requirement however.

@LordOfThePings i honestly dont think missing one prereq is that devastating for uci (ucb ucla ucsb are the strictest i think) tbh i would be more concerned for your gpa. i think you have a decent chance overall though, good luck!
@ohwow1 id say she has a good shot if she also has some good essays and extracurriculars (uci reciews hollistically i believe)
@notbob I only took one semester of Java. However, I did take calc 1-3, linear algebra, discrete math, all the physics courses, and even took an Algorithms and System Analysis course at UCSD. I just hope they can get over my gpa though. Its low because of some GE courses I took at a CC during High School.

With those pre-reqs, I’d say you’re competitive. Especially since your GPA doesn’t reflect your major specific courses. I wish you luck! I’m a little freaked out now, I never took physics because I never saw it mentioned as a pre-req. I’m primarily a software engineering major, but those two majors are extremely similar.
Been looking at UCI Admissions FB, the commenter said decisions will be going out “later this week and so on,” written on April 20… It’s the later part of the week!! Today please…
