<p>Hey, has anyone used their UC personal statement for the common app personal essay? There is the free choice option on the common app....and random question, how long is your personal essay for the common app, wordcount-wise?</p>
<p>Mine is...well, I haven't written it yet! But I intend on making it 500 words long, give or take. As for free choice...it seems risky (I mean, isn't this sort of saying "I don't want to/can't write any of these other ones, let me write something else?) so unless your UC essay was particularly good, I wouldn't go for it. (But that's just me, personally. If you feel comfortable with it, you certainly should. :))</p>
<p>i used my UC essay for the common app..i dont think they should make a big deal about it though.. i think as long as the content its suitable it should be fine.. mine is about 500-600 i think</p>
