<p>are there any requirements or guidelines i have to follow for the personal statement for UC's? if so, where am i supposed to find them?</p>
<p>im kinda new to the college application process as a whole so sorry if this is a weird question.

<p>-there are 2 essays
-1000 word limit (you can go over like 10-25 words but no more)
-each essay must be at least 250 words.
-be original, there are millions of essays out there, you just have to be yourself when writing it and not be another “oh yea i read this type of essay”.
-be creative. remember numbers aren’t everything especially for UC Berkeley and UCLA. </p>
<p>you can find the prompts for the essays on the UC website. they are usually up by mid october.</p>
