UC prompts

I have looked over the 8 prompts and have started brain storming some ideas. I wanted to get a better understanding how and what style you are supposed to write the responses to these. Does anyone have any online resources where I can find sample UC responses (like past successful ones maybe)? Any book that has been published with some samples?

Like for prompt number 3 (http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/how-to-apply/personal-questions/freshman/index.html), I had a good idea but when it said over time I felt like the response would just be a list of events. I was planning on focusing on just one big event that illustrates it very well, but if you are supposed to state many, there is not going to be a lot of depth in any one (because max words is 350).

Please advise.

I found those links to be the most helpful, especially the worksheet. You are on the right track with writing in depth just one event, not a list of many. Be sure to show growth and insight learned, don’t just say so.

If I write in depth about one event will that be enough? Or do advise me to add some events before that to show growth “over time?”
